Conyers Promises Civil Unrest

If they do this, I'd be willing to march on Washington. You talk about starting a revolution? They are playing with serious fire here.

(CNSNews.com) - At a gathering of liberal activists in Washington on Tuesday, Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) was asked if he would commit to holding the Bush administration accountable once a Democrat is in the White House and illegal acts have been pinned on President Bush.

My guess is that an Obama or Hillary will allow the impeachment to get their "tit-for-tat" re: Clinton, but then magnanimously "pardon" Bush for his "crimes."

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here.  The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to wipe out nearly all the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year's time. For all four sources, it's the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn't itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

Break One Law To Uphold Another

OK, help me out here: the boy is an illegal immigrant, meaning he's not here lawfully (if I understand the story right) and yet he's being encouraged to come back and "cut a deal" that would allow him to break the law with no consequences so they can go after the teacher? Why aren't both the boy and his family AND the teacher prosecuted?

The boy remains in Mexico because of his immigration status but might be able to return to Nebraska, at least temporarily, if he is granted a “U” visa. The visas are used to encourage illegal immigrants to report crimes against them.

“To prove their case, they have to have him come back here,” Davis said. “They’re going to have to cut him some deal to have him testify. In exchange for the promise of bringing him into the country, he may be anxious to please them and do what they say.”

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called Marine Gen. Peter Pace, the outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, "incompetent" during an interview Tuesday with a group of liberal bloggers, a comment that was never reported.

I confess, we're all sinners, and I am the chief of sinners, but as a national leader, Harry Reid is disgrace. He's a coward and a fool. He voted to confirm Gen. Petraeus (whom he also calls a "incompetent" in the same article) and yet when things are perfect in mere weeks, he calls him incompetent behind his back.

Of course, you won't see this prominently featured by any of the mainstream media...

Is this really even debatable anymore? Certainly it's more established than that "Global Warming is caused by humans": 

As Gary Tobin observed: "If a majority of faculty said they did not feel warmly about Muslims or Jews or Latinos or African Americans, there would be an outcry. No one would attempt to justify or explain those feelings. No one would say, 'The reason they feel this way is because they don't like the politics of blacks or the politics of Jews.' Demanding A Gift

This is why citizens like myself have no sympathy with this type of "protest": 

Demonstrators demanding a path to citizenship for an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants hope that nationwide marches on Tuesday will spur Congress to act before the looming presidential primaries take over the political landscape. [emph. mine]

Citizenship for those here illegally is a grant, a gift--not a right that can be demanded through marching in demonstrations.
